JRTV is a Governmental Modern Arabic Public Service platform that caters to local and Pan Arab viewers offering a transparent and diversified cultural Infotainment Television and Radio services in a civilized Islamic view. JRTV seeks to provide cost effective standard of excellence in broadcasting, while continuously developing the corporation in accordance to the public interests and priorities of Jordan.
A high-quality, credible, independent and efficient public-service broadcasting operation which reflects, debates and celebrates the life, interests, concerns, culture of Jordan and its competitive niche market.
Television transmission in Jordan started in black and white in April 1968 from one studio, with three hours of programming.
